About Adam

Hi! My name is Adam and I am a first-year architecture student at Washington University in St. Louis. I genuinely love helping others learn and discover what they're capable of. One of the most rewarding things for me is seeing a student go from feeling confused or frustrated by a subject to understanding it and feeling confident in their abilities. I've helped other students one-on-one with calculus, ap physics 1 and C, writing, and art + portfolio help. I had the amazing opportunity to also spend my last two summers working as a day camp counselor, where I learned how to communicate with kids of all ages, haver patience, and adapt to different needs. Along with having experience with the younger age groups, I have also tutored high schoolers at my old school in order to help them prepare for AP examines. As a tutor, I want to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe everyone learns differently, so I enjoy learning the ways that I can best help a student learn and understand the materials in ways that support them. Whether a student needs help with homework, wants to prepare for a test, or is struggling with a particular concept, I'll take the time to understand what they need and work with them toward their goals. I'm excited to help students build both their academic skills and their confidence in themselves.
