Questions about the ALEKS diagnostic
How accurate is a 12-question diagnostic?
It asks one question per topic, so it shows you where to start rather than predicting your score. For a score estimate, take the full-length ALEKS math practice test on our ALEKS study page.
Is it free?
Yes. Your score and the explanation for every question are free, with no sign-up. If you want the 4-week study plan, enter your email and we’ll also send you our free full-length ALEKS math practice test.
Are these real ALEKS questions?
No. They are original practice questions written by Effortless Math to cover the same math topics. The real test may word questions differently.
Can I take it again?
Yes. Each attempt picks a new question for every topic, so you can retake it after a week of study and compare.
