The current task mix includes completing words, understanding everyday and academic texts, selecting replies, building sentences, writing short purposeful responses and speaking aloud. This form retains those different response demands instead of turning every task into multiple choice.

This is a fixed learning adaptation of the ordinary January 21, 2026 iBT format, excluding the Australia variant. It does not reproduce adaptive routing. Listening and Speaking require a facilitator; no ready-to-use audio quality claim is made.

QUICK ANSWERS

TOEFL iBT: common questions.

Understand the format, then choose your next step.

What is TOEFL iBT?

TOEFL iBT assesses English through Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. The current test includes academic texts and daily-life communication, with adaptive testing that can vary in time and item count. Official TOEFL iBT guidance

Does this use the older TOEFL format?

No. Its task families follow the redesign introduced January 21, 2026. Older integrated-task materials may still teach useful English, but they are not this form’s blueprint.

How long is this practice?

The section targets are 30 minutes Reading, 29 Listening, 23 Writing and 8 Speaking: 90 nominal task minutes. Instructions and facilitator transitions add time; the official adaptive test can vary.

Can I convert my practice result to an official score?

No. Feedback on these original tasks does not convert to the official 1–6 scale or its transitional comparable score.

Are Listening transcripts learner materials?

Keep them hidden during listening practice. Reading a transcript can support later review, but it measures reading rather than a first listening attempt.
