The framework follows the work of an EMT: establish scene safety, identify immediate threats, collect further findings, provide appropriate treatment and manage transport. Scenarios require applying the stated capabilities and protocols rather than assuming advanced interventions are available.

This original 120-position paper form follows the National Registry’s updated EMT content framework. It is a fixed maximum-length learning adaptation, not an adaptive exam, practical assessment or authority to perform care outside your scope.

Understand the format, then choose your next step.

What is EMT / NREMT?

The National Registry EMT certification examination assesses entry-level emergency medical technician knowledge. Certification and state licensure are related processes with separate training, eligibility and local requirements. Official EMT / NREMT guidance

Is the real EMT examination always 120 questions?

No. The National Registry uses adaptive testing with a variable length. This study form fixes the upper-length practice at 120 positions.

Does the form use only multiple-choice questions?

No. It also practises multiple responses, ordering, categorization and options-table tasks through paper response instructions.

Does this replace a practical evaluation?

No. Written knowledge practice cannot demonstrate hands-on competence or satisfy local training and certification requirements.

Which protocol should I apply?

Use the explicit conditions and protocol supplied in each fictional case. Actual care follows your authorized scope, medical direction and current local protocols.
