This printable organizer accompanies the hub lesson. It is a guided study sheet, not a scored test or an official ASVAB question set.

Signal words show how ideas relate. Because introduces a reason, therefore points to a result, however marks a contrast, and afterward indicates sequence. Read both sides of the connection. Events happening in sequence do not by themselves establish a cause. A writer may present an objection and then answer it; keep those roles separate when identifying the conclusion.

3. Use the method

Name the connection between sentences before judging the answer choices.

Summarize the method in your own words, with a diagram or labeled units where useful:

5. Review after practice

Use the mixed practice check linked in the hub. Record the skill you need to revisit and your next study step.
