This printable organizer accompanies the hub lesson. It is a guided study sheet, not a scored test or an official ASVAB question set.
A resistor limits current or divides voltage; a capacitor stores energy in an electric field; an inductor stores energy in a magnetic field. A diode conducts much more readily in one direction under normal operation. A fuse interrupts excessive current when its element melts. A transformer transfers energy between coupled coils with changing magnetic flux. Learn the symbol and the function together.
An open fuse breaks the path. Replacing it conceptually with an unbroken wire restores the path but removes its protective function.
Write the steps or relationships that explain the result:
Make a symbol-to-function table and trace how each component affects the circuit.
Summarize the method in your own words, with a diagram or labeled units where useful:
Preparation examples are for understanding diagrams, not instructions to work on energized equipment.
Describe how you will recognize and correct this mistake:
Use the mixed practice check linked in the hub. Record the skill you need to revisit and your next study step.
