An original practice exam by Effortless Math: 45 questions, 160 minutes, scored instantly.
This practice exam follows the official B.E.S.T. Algebra 1 End-of-Course test blueprint: about a third of the questions in each of the three reporting categories, using multiple choice, select-all, typed-answer and table questions like many on the real test. The real test also has graphing and drop-down questions, so practice plotting points and lines on paper too. Have a scientific calculator, a pencil and some scratch paper ready. Use the reference sheet button at the top of each question whenever you need a formula.
| Question type | How to answer |
|---|---|
| Multiple choice | Choose one answer. |
| Select all that apply | Choose every correct answer. The question counts only if your choices match exactly. |
| Typed answer | Type a number. Do not type units, dollar signs, percent signs or commas. |
| Table | Choose one box in each row. |
Every question is worth 1 point. The real test is adaptive and reports a scale score from 325 to 475; this practice exam reports your raw score and how you did in each reporting category.
On test day there is a short break after 80 minutes. The timer will remind you when you reach that point. Your answers stay on this page while it is open. Leaving or reloading the page clears them.

Raw score
This is study feedback from an independent practice exam, not an official score. The real B.E.S.T. EOC is adaptive and reports a scale score from 325 to 475, where 400 is the passing score, so there is no exact way to convert a practice raw score. Use the category results to decide what to review next.
