CLEP Human Growth and Development Practice Test 1
Answer all 90 questions in 90 minutes. Every question has one best answer chosen from five options (A--E). Many items are grouped beneath a shared stimulus --- a case vignette of a child or adult at a specific developmental stage, a description of a research study or experiment, a data table, or a labeled diagram; read each stimulus carefully before answering the question(s) that follow it. Coverage is proportioned across the twelve official content categories: Theoretical Perspectives (10%), Research Strategies and Methodology (6%), Biological Development Throughout the Life Span (12%), Perceptual Development Throughout the Life Span (6%), Cognitive Development Throughout the Life Span (12%), Language Development (8%), Intelligence Throughout the Life Span (6%), Social Development Throughout the Life Span (12%), Family, Home, and Society Throughout the Life Span (8%), Personality and Emotion (8%), Schooling, Work, and Interventions (6%), and Developmental Psychopathology (6%). Items follow DSM-5 terminology where a diagnostic category is referenced. This independently written practice test is not an official CLEP exam form and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the College Board.
