CLEP Calculus Practice Test 1

Answer all 44 questions in approximately 90 minutes, administered in two timed sections. Section 1 (Items 1--27, approximately 50 minutes) does not permit a calculator. Section 2 (Items 28--44, approximately 40 minutes) makes an on-screen graphing calculator, modeled on the TI-84 Plus CE, available; only some Section 2 items actually require it. Every question has one best answer chosen from five options (A--E). Content is distributed as follows: limits and continuity (approximately 10%), differential calculus (approximately 50%, including implicit differentiation, related rates, optimization, and curve sketching), and integral calculus (approximately 40%, including area, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, volumes of revolution, and basic antidifferentiation techniques). Read every choice before deciding, work each problem fully before comparing your result to the options, and mark time-consuming items to revisit. This independently written practice test is not an official CLEP form.
