AP Precalculus Practice Test 1
Section I contains 42 multiple-choice questions administered in two timed parts. Part A contains 29 questions in 65 minutes; no calculator is permitted, and items emphasize exact-value reasoning, algebraic manipulation, and graph analysis. Part B contains 13 questions in 40 minutes; a graphing calculator is required, and items emphasize numerical solving, regression, and applied modeling. Every question has one best answer chosen from four options (A--D). Read every choice before deciding, and mark time-consuming items to revisit. Content is drawn only from Units 1--3 of the AP Precalculus Course and Exam Description --- Polynomial and Rational Functions; Exponential and Logarithmic Functions; Trigonometric and Polar Functions. Unit 4 (Parametric, Vector, and Matrix Functions) is not assessed on the AP Exam and does not appear below. This independently written practice test is not an official College Board form.
