AP African American Studies Practice Test 1

This practice set contains 70 original multiple-choice questions covering all four units of the AP African American Studies course framework: Origins of the African Diaspora; Freedom, Enslavement, and Resistance; The Practice of Freedom; and Movements and Debates. Questions are grouped into scenario-based clusters built around a shared stimulus (a constructed source passage, a table, or a timeline diagram), followed by a set of standalone items with no shared stimulus. For each question, select the single best answer from the four choices given. Give yourself 55 minutes to work through all 70 items at a brisk, exam-like pace, then check your answers against the key and read every explanation, even for items you answered correctly. Note that the official College Board AP African American Studies Section I contains 60 multiple-choice questions administered in 70 minutes; this expanded 70-item set is designed to give you broader practice coverage across all four units before test day. These questions are independently created and are not official AP questions.
